The story continues the story of Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang on another sleuthing adventure. The movie begins with the whole gang except for Velma chasing a cloaked figure. When they unmask the figure, the gang is shocked, but the film doesn't show who was under the hood. The movie then jumps to a week earlier. School has just ended and Velma (Hayley Kiyoko) and Shaggy (Nick Palatas) are waiting by the van for Fred (Robbie Amell) and Daphne (Kate Melton) so they can go to meet Daphne's Uncle, who has given them summer jobs at his country club in Erie Point so the gang can pay for the damages they did to a barn setting it on fire (which happened to be Shaggy and Scooby's fault as Shaggy didn't know hay was flammable due to the lack of a sign) during their mystery case of The Vengeful Scarecrow, (possibly the The Frickert Fracas episode).
